The verdict: Tesla Model X SUV.
It’s officially in the market at the time of this writing. And with much interest in climate change based on the conference nations had in Paris, the focus on cars this coming 2016 would be its technology and if it is climate-change-friendly – or – is it electric.
The Tesla Model X SUV covers all of the above. Just take a look at its specs:
- 90kWh battery pack
- 400 km electric range
- 5 star rating in safety
- Automatic steering sensors
- Powered by twin electric motors
- 100 km/hr acceleration in 4.8s
- Panoramic windshield
- Automatic door sensors
- 17 inch touch screen panel
- Digital dashboard
- Advance air filtration system
The 5 star safety ratings is impressive. When they smashed the vehicle into a pole, the pole was split in half with some denting in the vehicle. The air filter is considered a bioweapon because it can filter toxic fumes.
Tesla is positioning itself as the car of the future and has in the works for driverless cars and longer travelling range using electric.
